K. R. Sreenivasan: A Tribute on the occasion of his 75th Birthday

This special issue commemorates Dr. Katepalli R. Sreenivasan (Sreeni) on the occasion of his 75th birthday. As fluid dynamicist and applied physicist/mathematician, Sreeni has made seminal contributions in the areas turbulence, statistical physics, cryogenic and astrophysical fluid phenomena. We not only pay homage to his scientific contributions, but also recognize the tremendous impact he has had on numerous researchers worldwide, especially in developing countries. The special issue represents a collection of recent works that have been strongly influenced by Sreeni’s contributions in the areas of turbulence and complex fluid mechanics.
