Associate Editors

Review of Scientific Instruments (RSI) is seeking active researchers to join our editorial team as Associate Editors.
Associate Editors at RSI play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and relevance of the journal’s content. They manage the peer review process for assigned manuscripts, make editorial decisions based on reviewer feedback, uphold ethical standards, and address issues such as appeals or ethical concerns. Beyond editorial responsibilities, Associate Editors actively engage with the research community by encouraging submissions, participating in journal outreach, and promoting the journal at scientific meetings.
About the Section: Equipment and Techniques for Chemistry; Biology; Medicine
We are particularly interested in recruiting an Associate Editor with expertise in instrumentation and techniques relevant to chemistry (especially physical chemistry), biology, or medicine. This includes, but is not limited to, research areas such as biophotonics, biomedical photoacoustics and ultrasonics, thermoacoustics, diagnostic imaging, and medical tomography. Studies describing the design, development, and application of innovative instruments and measurement methods that advance experimental research in these fields are central to this section.
While this call focuses on strengthening our editorial expertise in chemistry, biology, and medicine, we also welcome applications from researchers in other areas of instrumentation science. RSI maintains a broad editorial team that reflects the journal’s diverse scope and interdisciplinary readership.

Associate Editor
AIP Publishing is seeking the next Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Physics (JAP).
The Journal of Applied Physics is seeking an active researcher with expertise in quantum and superconductivity to join the editorial team as Associate Editor. The current team consists of the Editor-in-Chief, four Deputy Editors, and 17 Associate Editors at institutions across the globe. All editors are highly active researchers, having made significant contributions to applied physics.
As an editor on the team, you would help guide the publication process, set the scientific direction and vision in your areas of expertise, represent the journal in your professional activities, and help serve the interests of the applied physics communities. You would play a key role in ensuring the scientific quality of the journal, facilitating a fair and timely peer review process, and selecting manuscripts for publication.

For over 90 years, the Journal of Applied Physics has been an influential, international journal publishing original research, methods, reviews, perspectives, and tutorials across a diverse array of topics within applied physics. To be suitable for publication in JAP, papers are expected to significantly advance the knowledge of applied physics or a closely related discipline, and their conclusions should be likely to have a noteworthy impact on the relevant scientific communities. APL Bioengineering
Editor-in-Chief

AIP Publishing is seeking the next Editor-in-Chief for APL Bioengineering (APB).
Candidates should be highly regarded scientists with research expertise in key areas of bioengineering and biomedical research. The successful candidate will have a clear scientific vision for the journal, demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for the role, and showcase strong leadership and interpersonal skills. They will work collaboratively with a committed editorial team and the Publisher to enact policies and initiatives to translate their scientific vision into a strategic editorial program. The candidate will also support growth of the journal by collaborating within AIP Publishing’s bioscience portfolio, adopting an author-centric view, maintaining high editorial and ethical standards, expanding coverage to capture emerging areas of research, and supporting AIP Publishing’s Open Science strategy.
There are no geographic limitations to the Editor’s location. The initial appointment is for five years with the possibility of renewal. The Editor will be paid an honorarium commensurate with the roles and responsibilities of the position.
The search committee welcomes either applications or nominations of potential candidates. A nomination can be a brief note suggesting a suitable candidate. An application should consist of a Curriculum Vitae and a statement of the applicant’s vision and future aspirations for APB. The statement should be no more than 3 pages and should include a few paragraphs on the candidate’s leadership experience, community involvement, and scientific accomplishments that make them uniquely qualified for the Editor-in-Chief position.
