Surface Science Spectra of the Actinides
Nuclear energy remains essential to achieving global decarbonization, with actinide elements serving as a cornerstone of this endeavour. Their unique and diverse chemistry, physics, and materials science frequently yield complex datasets that demand rigorous characterization. Reference spectra provide critical benchmarks in this process. This special collection includes submissions presenting electron spectroscopic, optical, and Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry investigations of actinide materials.
