Dynamics of Social Systems
Submission Deadline: February 16, 2020View Collection
In recent years the conceptual and methodological framework of statistical and nonlinear physics, developed initially to study systems composed by many particles in interaction, has proven to be a valid instrument for analyzing the dynamics of collective behavior in Social Systems. The field has reached a point where it is appropriate to have a Focus Issue on the mathematical, physical modeling, computational or data analysis approaches to this problem, including both reviews as well as original research articles.
Topics covered include, but are not limited to:
- Social dynamics
- Collective social phenomena
- Data-driven modeling
- Individual-based models
- Social networks
