This special collection of Journal of Laser Applications (JLA) comprises papers presented at the International Congress on Applications of Lasers and Electro-Optics (ICALEO®). Organized by the Laser Institute of America (LIA) every year since 1982, ICALEO is one of the most important events for laser applications in materials processing.
