Polymer-Grafted Nanoparticles
This Special Topic focuses on material systems containing polymeric nanoparticles, including but not limited to polymer-grafted, single chain, or polymerization-induced self-assembled (PISA) nanoparticles. We invite authors to submit original research articles that highlight recent research that connects material properties and behaviors to the underlying properties of the nanoparticles. In addition to original research articles, this Special Topic will contain invited tutorials from experts in the field that emphasize unique or emerging techniques for investigating polymeric nanoparticle systems as well as invited perspectives that highlight recent advances in polymeric nanoparticles that may lead to new physical insights and technical advances.
Topics covered include, but are not limited to:
- Matrix-free polymer nanocomposites
- Organic photovoltaics
- Directed self-assembly
- Grafted polymer dynamics
- Micellar systems
- Polymer mechanics
- Liquid crystalline polymers
- Structure-Property Relationships
- Advances in Additive Manufacturing
- Advances in Polymer Processing
- Responsive nanocomposites
- Single chain nanoparticles
- Sustainable materials

Submission and acceptance criteria:
Manuscripts considered for publication as Articles in Journal of Applied Physics are expected to meet the journal’s standards of acceptance, i.e. to report on original and timely results that significantly advance understanding in the current status of contemporary applied physics: material that is exclusively review in nature is not considered for publication. Manuscripts submitted for consideration in this Special Topic must meet the same criteria and will undergo the journal’s standard peer-review process. The Journal of Applied Physics’ Editors’ Team will issue final decisions on the submitted manuscripts.
