Special Topic Collection: Quantitative Analysis of Biofouling

Biointerphases is soliciting articles, reviews, and tutorials for publication in a Special Topic Collection focusing on new developments in mitigating biofouling and the quantitative analysis of biofouling. The Collection will include methodological advances and recent developments in the design and fabrication of non-fouling surfaces and the characterization/evaluation of surfaces subject to fouling conditions.
Topics will range from quantification of novel surfaces and surface modifications to new measurement and data analysis techniques:
- Simulations of surfaces and surface treatments
- Data processing methods and developments
- New approaches to the quantification of images and spectrographs
- Advances in techniques and methods permitting quantitative evaluation and characterization of materials or interfaces under fouling conditions
- Review articles
- Tutorial reviews on surface quantification methods
