Biointerface Science in Australia 2020 – An issue in celebration of Hans Griesser’s career
Over more than 30 years, Hans Griesser has been a driving force in the Australian Biomaterials Science community. He has led teams developing new technologies, coatings and tools, trained a vast number of PhD students and postdocs, collaborated with academics and industry globally, and led the Australian Biomaterials Community via roles in ASBTE, CSIRO, The Ian Wark and Mawson Institutes at UniSA. This special collection will present a snapshot of Biointerface Science in Australia in 2020. It demonstrates the local and global connectivity of the researchers and celebrates the contributions Hans has made in establishing and supporting this vibrant community. We welcome contributions from researchers across Australia and the globe.
Topics covered include, but are not limited to:
- Plasma polymerization
- Biomaterials coatings
- Bacteria-surface interactions
- Protein-surface interactions
- Biomaterials characterization
- XPS, ToF-SIMS and related spectroscopies
- Industrial applications of biomaterials coatings
- Biofouling
