Biophysics Reviews
Editor-in-Chief
AIP Publishing is seeking the next Editor-in-Chief of Biophysics Reviews (BPR).
Candidates should be highly regarded scientists in the field of biophysics or other relevant research fields including, but not limited to, biomaterials, bioimaging, biosensors or bioelectronics. The successful candidate will have a strong, visible presence in the community and will have a deep understanding about the research developments in biophysics and strong interpersonal skills. They will work collaboratively with a committed editorial team and the Publisher, to translate that strategy into a vibrant editorial program. The successful candidate will prioritize fostering connections and engaging with the core base of the biophysics research community, rigorously uphold ethical standards, and position the journal to strengthen its coverage on the core biophysics research areas and expand to capture emerging areas.
There are no geographic limitations to the Editor-in-Chief’s location. The initial appointment is for five years with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will be paid an honorarium commensurate with the roles and responsibilities of the position.
The search committee welcomes either applications or nominations of potential candidates. A nomination can be a short note suggesting a suitable candidate. An application should consist of a Curriculum Vitae and a statement of the applicant’s vision and future aspirations for Biophysics Reviews. The statement should be no more than 3 pages and should include a few paragraphs on your leadership experience and scientific accomplishments that make you uniquely qualified for the Editor-in-Chief position.

Structural Dynamics is co-published by AIP Publishing and ACA (The Structural Science Society). The successful candidate will maintain an active and visible presence within the community, engage with ACA leadership, and participate in the annual ACA meeting. Candidates should be highly regarded scientists with research expertise in key areas of crystallography, structural science, and other relevant research fields. The candidate will have a clear scientific vision for the journal, demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for the role, and showcase strong leadership and interpersonal skills. They will work collaboratively with a committed editorial team and the Publisher to enact policies and initiatives to translate their scientific vision into a strategic editorial program. Structural Dynamics focuses on recent developments in experimental and theoretical methods and techniques that explore electronic and geometric structure as well as the changes of chemical, biological, and condensed-matter systems over time. The community of scientists and engineers working on either structure or dynamics may work across diverse systems, but often share similar instrumentation and methods. Hence, the journal seeks to create connections across a variety of fields of study and also to support communications between these cultures. Associate Editor
AIP Publishing is seeking the next Associate Editor of Journal of Applied Physics (JAP).
Journal of Applied Physics is seeking an active researcher in the general field of applied physics, which includes mechanics, materials, and a broad range of engineering disciplines, to join the editorial team as Associate Editor. The current editorial team consists of the Editor-in-Chief, four Deputy Editors, and 18 Associate Editors at institutions across the globe. All editors are highly active researchers, having made significant contributions to applied physics over many years.
As an editor on the team, you would help guide the publication process, set the scientific direction and vision in your areas of expertise, represent the journal in your professional activities, and help serve the interests of the applied physics communities. You would play a key role in ensuring the scientific quality of the journal, facilitating a fair and timely peer review process, and selecting manuscripts for publication.
At this time, we are searching for candidates with expertise (theoretical, computational, and/or experimental) in magnetism, multiferroics, spintronics, skyrmions, and their technological applications, such as quantum computing.
