AIP Publishing to Publish International Journal of Fluid Engineering Beginning in Early 2024

  • October 20, 2023

MELVILLE, NY, Oct. 20, 2023 — AIP Publishing is excited to announce a new partnership with the Fluid Engineering Institution of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society to begin publishing the International Journal of Fluid Engineering (IJFE), a peer-reviewed open access publication, in early 2024.

Devoted to the field of fluid science in engineering, IJFE’s scope includes fundamental and engineering application-oriented work around fluid mechanics as they pertain to major projects, equipment, and strategic products.

“This presents an exciting opportunity — not just for IJFE and AIP Publishing, but also for the engineering field,” said IJFE Chief Editor Gensheng Li. “We would like to promote the development of industries by bringing pioneering research work to the global community.”

IJFE is supported by the Fluid Engineering Institution of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, founded by Hefei General Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd., and cofounded by Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, China. It has been granted as a High Starting Point New Journal by the China Association for Science and Technology.

IJFE joins AIP Publishing’s growing suite of open access titles, which includes AIP Advances and the APL family of journals, including the newly announced APL Quantum. IJFE is a diamond open access journal, so authors are not responsible for publication charges; IJFE is free to publish in and read.

“We are delighted to partner with the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, Hefei General Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Sci-Tech University to launch the International Journal of Fluid Engineering and welcome it into our portfolio of open access titles,” said Penelope Lewis, Chief Publishing Officer at AIP Publishing. “Partnerships like these are key to the very spirit of advancing global research through open access publishing. It means impactful science is made accessible to everyone and distributed for the benefit of all. We’re looking forward to IJFE’s first articles early next year.”
