Microfluidic Biosensors

Submission Deadline: October 31, 2024

Microfluidics biosensors are proven to be suitable for onsite and point of care applications in diverse fields. They have the advantages of mobility, operational flexibility, controllability, and stability with a small reaction volume for sensing. Biosensors, with nanostructured materials, are amenable to outperform other sensors in terms of high sensitivity, faster response, selectivity, cost-efficacy, rapid prototyping, and ability to become cyber-physical systems. Owing to this, there has been a surge in interest for developing microfluidics-based smart biosensors for various applications.

This Special Topic is open to the entire community and will include the work presented by participants related to the topic in the 16th International Conference on Sensing Technology (ICST) 2023 to be held in Hyderabad, India during December 2023. More information about ICST 2023 (http://icst.in/).

Topics covered include, but are not limited to:

  • Microfluidics biosensors
  • Lab on Chip
  • Biosensors: System on chip
  • Materials for Biosensors
  • Biosensor modelling and fabrication
  • Flexible and wearable biosensors
  • Biosensors for healthcare and biomedical applications
  • Biosensors for environmental monitoring and precision agriculture
