The Chemical Physics of the Electrode-Electrolyte Interface
The electrode-electrolyte interface sets the stage for a wide range of fundamental processes in chemical physics. These interfaces facilitate the interconversion of chemical and electrical energy and therefore play a central role in a wide range of existing and emerging technologies. Despite their importance, much remains to be understood about the unique microscopic physical and chemical properties of these systems. In this special issue, we present cutting-edge research aimed at exploring the electrode-electrolyte interface and expanding our fundamental understanding of these ubiquitous and important systems.
