Two-dimensional (2D) conjugated aromatic sheets represent a rapidly advancing field with interdisciplinary of chemistry, nanotechnology and materials science. They have extended π-conjugation and exposed surface, offering unique combination of high electrical conductivity, chemical stability, and amendable electronic structures. Due to their chemical and physical properties, the potential applications of 2D conjugated aromatic sheets span a wide range of disciplines, including energy storage and conversion, next-generation electronics, and optoelectronics etc. Their lightweight, high surface area, and stability to undergo targeted modification make them ideal for chemical sensing and environmental remediation. Contributions addressing novel synthetic techniques, theoretical insights, and emerging applications must pave the way for breakthroughs in material science and technology.
