Melville, NY, August 5, 2014 — AIP Publishing, one of the world’s leading publishers in the applied physical sciences, is pleased to announce its Institutional Subscription Pricing for 2015. AIP Publishing’s current tiered pricing model was established in order to offer equitable prices for online access to institutions of varying size and research intensity. We continue to work closely with the library community to maintain low annual price increases – and at the same time provide quality content and value for money for librarians and their patrons. Our 2015 online journal pricing represents a 3% increase, which applies to every title, across every tier. For a complete overview of 2015 subscription pricing, please visit our Library Resource Center at librarians.aip.org.
AIP Publishing: Global Research, Global Reach, World-class Results.
AIP Publishing journals provide the physical sciences community with world-class content, and nowhere is their value more evident than in the extraordinary number of researchers who cite our articles in their own research papers. According to 2013 Journal Citation Reports® (Thomson Reuters, 2014), Applied Physics Letters and Journal of Applied Physics have retained their positions as the first and second most-cited journals by researchers in the category of Applied Physics. The Journal of Chemical Physics again ranked number one in total citations in the Atomic, Molecular, and Chemical Physics category.
The NEW AIP Scitation
In late 2013, AIP Publishing launched its new and improved AIP Scitation platform. Offering greater semantic search capability with the new 7,500 term AIP Thesaurus, refined Author and Institution disambiguation functionality and greater personalization features for searches and alerts.
New Titles in 2014: Applied Physics Reviews and Structural Dynamics.
In 2014, AIP Publishing launched two new titles: Applied Physics Reviews and Structural Dynamics. Applied Physics Reviews, formerly a section of Journal of Applied Physics, is set to become the definitive reviews publication in applied physics. With an expanded editorial team and wider topic coverage, Applied Physics Reviews is on track to double the number of reviews it publishes in 2014. Moreover, the title is being offered on a free trial basis to subscribers of any combination of Journal of Applied Physics, Applied Physics Letters and The Journal of Chemical Physics through the end of 2015. For all other institutions, the title is available for subscription at a low introductory rate.
Structural Dynamics, launched as a co-publication with the American Crystallographic Association, is the new open-access home for research focusing on structural determination and dynamics of systems, enabled by the emerging new instruments (e.g. XFELs, electron sources, etc.) and new experimental and theoretical methodologies.
