New publishing partnership aims to increase the global impact and reach of CAEP’s flagship journal
Melville, NY, November 2, 2018 – AIP Publishing, one of the world’s leading publishers in the physical sciences, today announced a new partnership with the Publishing Center of China Academy of Engineering Physics (CAEP), to publish Matter and Radiation at Extremes (MRE), their peer-reviewed Open Access journal. MRE will launch on AIP Publishing’s Scitation platform on January 1, 2019.
"We are excited to embark on this partnership with the Publishing Center of China Academy of Engineering Physics to expand the global footprint of CAEP’s flagship Open Access journal, Matter and Radiation at Extremes,” said Jason Wilde, Ph.D., Chief Publishing Officer of AIP Publishing.
AIP Publishing will make its full suite of publishing services available to CAEP, providing support from submission through to publication, including subject-matter expert language editing for all accepted manuscripts. Because half of MRE’s current submissions originate in China, providing such author services as English-language editing will enable more researchers to bring their work to the world stage, boosting citations and increasing the journal’s impact.
"MRE selected AIP Publishing as its new publisher because it is a customer-focused, not-for-profit society publisher that can provide individual attention and professional expertise,” commented Ke Lan, MRE’s Executive Editor-in-Chief and researcher at the Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics, China.
MRE publishes original research and comprehensive and in-depth review papers in all areas of experimental and theoretical physics on matter and radiation at extremes. Its scope aligns well with the AIP Publishing journals program and adds a valuable title to its gold open access portfolio, which includes AIP Advances, APL Bioengineering, APL Photonics, APL Materials, and Structural Dynamics.
