Melville, NY — March 2, 2026 — AIP Publishing has joined OA Switchboard, a shared community infrastructure that enables standardized exchange of open access publication metadata between publishers, institutions, and funders.
Through this participation, AIP Publishing will provide publication metadata via OA Switchboard, including author affiliation, funder information, and licensing.
“Participating in OA Switchboard supports our commitment to transparent and consistent communication with our institutional and funding partners,” said Sara Rouhi, Open Science Director at AIP Publishing. “Standardized metadata exchange reduces administrative burden and strengthens the reliability of open access reporting across our agreements.”
AIP Publishing’s integration will support institutions participating in its open access models, including AIP Fusion, the organization’s services-based, single-fee model that provides unlimited reading and unlimited APC-free publishing, by enabling standardized delivery of publication data to track covered publishing activity.
